Seaway Salties is a non-commercial Canadian personal/archive project maintained from British Columbia, with the owner in Ontario. There is no formal business or other legal entity operating the project.

What the static site collects

The static site has no user accounts, user-submitted forms, newsletters, advertising, analytics, or first-party tracking cookies. It does not intentionally ask visitors to provide personal information.

A future hosting provider may generate limited technical information, such as IP address, browser or device details, request time, and requested page, in server or security logs. The project may need those records to keep the site secure and functioning, subject to the host’s settings and policies.

Your questions and requests

You can use the Contact page for questions or concerns about information connected with Seaway Salties. You may ask what project-held information relates to your message, request correction of inaccurate information, or ask that a message be deleted where reasonably possible. The project will consider the request in context; some technical records may remain with the hosting provider or be retained for security.

If you have an unresolved privacy concern, you may wish to contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada or the privacy regulator that may apply in your province. Whether a particular privacy law or complaint process applies depends on the circumstances; this notice is not legal advice.
